The Event Place to Love! At The Event Place, our personality shines throughout every event that we have the pleasure of hosting.
Our historic venue mixes 1940’s architecture with urban glam. The Event Place is the perfect space to make your event simply spectacular – and create those unforgettable memories with friends and family.
With a reconfigurable 4,500-square-foot indoor space, The Event Place can host small to mid-sized groups up to 250 guests including but not limited to intimate weddings and rehearsal dinners, quinceañeras and birthday parties, corporate meetings and events and fundraisers as well as non-profit events.
So whether you’re planning that magical wedding ceremony you’ve dreamed of your whole life or if you’re searching for an exciting black-tie to host your company holiday party, The Event Place can accommodate a wide variety of inspiring settings to make your occasion a memorable one.
Amenities
The Event Place is a multi-purpose venue located in one of Houston’s oldest neighborhoods. Offering 4,500 square feet of open indoor event space, the iconic structure was built in 1940 and operated as Martinez Resale Shop until the transformation that began in 2016. The elegant yet modern space contains barrel trussed ceilings and exposed brick walls which speak to the architectural history of the location.

- Accessible location: – North of Downtown Houston – Convenient to the METRO Rail. Easily accessible off of I-45 and I-10 near the White Oak Bayou with onsite parking.
- Mechanical systems: 3 phase electrical power, 400 AMP, 15 ton industrial-grade A/C unit. You will never worry about being too hot or having too little power to support the band, lighting, special effects, etc.
