The Event Place is a medium-sized multi-purpose event venue centrally located in Near North side, one of Houston’s oldest neighborhoods.

Whether your needs center on a small to medium sized private wedding, an elegant quinceañera or another exciting fiesta, The Event Place is dedicated to providing our clients with an ideal venue. The venue’s original barrel trussed ceilings and exposed brick walls speak to the area’s rich architectural history. Built in 1940, this iconic structure operated as the Martinez Resale Shop until the transformation began in 2016.
The renovations included construction to meet ADA accessibility standards and adding new electrical systems such as 3 phase power and 15 ton industrial-grade A/C unit. While keeping the historic integrity of the building intact, the venue emerged with an industrial chic, urban glam atmosphere.
